The following is a listing of VBTA Committees and their respective Director contact information. We encourage all members to participate by serving the Association whenever possible. Allied Council
Responsible for development of Allied members of VBTA and adding value to their Membership.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Responsible for the development and posting of any relevant VBTA information to corporate and social websites such as LinkedIn and Facebook.

Direct Council
Responsible for development of Direct members of VBTA and adding value to their Membership.

Elections
This is an ad hoc Committee responsible for the entire Officer election process each odd year. Reviews all nominations and verifies that each nominee is a member in good standing. Also responsible for counting votes cast.

Finance
Assists Treasurer in their duties and adds a second security level to fiduciary responsibilities of Chapter.

Government Affairs
Liaison to the GBTA PAC. Assist with PAC fundraising and keeping Membership informed of all legislative priorities. Represents VBTA at the annual Legislative Summit.

Logistics/ Programs
Responsible for meeting planning in relation to hospitality functions, educational activities, programs, and recommending locations and times of meetings to the VBTA Board of Directors.

Membership
Responsible for membership growth. Establishes the rules and guidelines which all members will adhere and monitor as well. Registration duties with Treasurer.

Scholarships
Ad Hoc Committee that works with voting Board and Education Committee to develop, administer, and award VBTA scholarship awards. Also keeps Membership informed of Scholarship Opportunities from other sources such as GBTA and the GBTA Chapter President's Council.

Sponsorship
Responsible for soliciting and engaging Sponsors for VBTA and for VBTA events/meetings. Also charged with fulfillment of sponsor benefits.

Technology
Responsible for VBTA website development and timely updates. Works with the Officers and Committee Chairs to bring consistent and current information and messaging to their respective area of the website to help VBTA meet goals. Assists with A/V for virtual meetings as well as in-person meetings.
